- Binary is based on a standard width of 4 rack units, 2075mm.

- Default Depth (Front to back), 964mm. The worktop depth may be increased to accommodate deeper consoles. The rack and armrest dimensions are constant.

- Luxurious padded armrest

- May be configured with a continuous, flat desktop, flush to the armrest.

- May be configured with a recessed desktop area for consoles, controllers and keyboards.

- Cable management channel at the rear runs the full length of the desk. 242(D)x96(H)mm.

- 2x concealed computer platforms 276x206mm.

- For Binary 0 configurations (no racks above the desktop) the console width may utilize the full width of the desk, as required.

- All Binary configurations contain 4 x 2 rack units underneath the desktop which suit 'set and forget' equipment such as audio converters and power distribution. Please note, previous versions of Binary did not have this feature.

- Powder coated steel legs, 60mm diameter leveling feet with +/-30mm of height adjustment

When pricing a Binary desk we require the following information

1. Select your basic Binary
Binary 0, 2, or 4.

Binary 2 and 4 only
2. Select number of rack units per bay.
Options are 2RU, 4RU, 6RU.
Note for Binary 2, It is possible to specify rack units on only the left or only the right side.

Binary 2 and 4 only
3. Specify Depth of work surface (from front of armrest to the rack units).
Note the depth of the armrest is fixed at 200mm - it is the timber worktop depth which may be increased/decreased.

All configurations
4. Specify recess for the console area. Console/control surface/keyboard make and model is to be specified upon order.

Binary 2 only
5. The console area between the left and right racks has a default and minimum width of 995mm (based on two rack widths).
The console area may be increased to a maximum of 1348mm, depending on your equipment. The overall width of the desk in this case will be 2394mm.

Binary 4 only
6. Specify a step/no step between the desktop and the lowest rack units. The default step height is 77mm. This feature is useful if you plan to place other equipment on the desktop which may obstruct the rack units behind.

7. Specify armrest colour. Black is the default.

Size Note:
In the case your console is deeper (front to back) than the desk's listed depth, the worktop will need to be increased to accommodate. This will, in turn, increase the overall depth of the desk. We usually recommend 50-100mm clearance between the rear of the console and the rear of the desk.

Extra CAD design work to meet your customization requirements. For example, designing the correct sized recess for the equipment for which the desk is made.

- Packaging Requirements
This varies dramatically, depending on the how the product is to be fulfilled. Packaging is relatively expensive in terms of labour and the environment and production of it should be avoided where possible. In short, if we can save on packaging, we pass on the savings to you, the customer. Please refer to the shipping and collection tab for further information.

In order of Fusion Studio Works' preference.

1. Customer collection of a whole or partially assembled unit. This requires an appropriate mode of transport (van, ute, truck etc.), a couple of furniture blankets and zero single use packaging.

2. Van delivery by Fusion Studio Works.
If the delivery location is proximal to the greater Melbourne area we can offer delivery and or installation for a fee. In this case there are also no packaging requirements.

3. Flat-packed in multiple cartons for delivery by a contract removalist.
We stock only a limited set of pre-manufactured cartons for those parts common to all configurations of the unit. The remaining cartons must be designed and cut on the CNC machine for each order, based on the requirements of the custom parts.
